Community Guidelines
Effective date: August 4, 2026 · v1.1.0
Last updated: August 4, 2026
Beni Tanı exists to help people get to know each other in a safe, respectful space. These guidelines set the behavior standards everyone must follow and are an integral part of the Terms of Service.
1. Respect First
Be kind to other users. Insults, harassment, bullying, threats, and hate speech are prohibited.
2. Prohibited Content
The following are strictly prohibited and lead to immediate action:
- Sexualization or exploitation of minors (zero tolerance — reported to authorities).
- Incitement to violence, terrorist propaganda, promotion of self-harm/suicide.
- Hate speech (race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, etc.).
- Non-consensual sexual content; sharing others' private images without consent.
- Trade in illegal goods/services, fraud, spam.
3. Age-Appropriate Content
Content is rated SAFE / TEEN / MATURE / ADULT. Adult content is visible only to users who pass the age gate and whose regional policy permits it. Do not misrepresent your age to bypass restrictions.
4. Identity and Honesty
Do not impersonate others, build fake account networks, or manipulate with bots.
5. Privacy
Do not share others' private information (address, phone, location, etc.) without consent.
6. Intellectual Property
Only share content you have the right to share.
7. Reporting
Use the in-app report feature when you see a violation. In emergencies (risk of self-harm, child abuse, threat to life), also write to [email protected] and contact your local emergency services where needed.
What happens to your report:
- Your report goes to the moderation team and is prioritized by the severity of the violation.
- Severe violations, such as exploitation of minors, are handled immediately.
- We inform you whether action was taken. Details of any measure applied to the other user are not shared, out of respect for that user's privacy.
- Bad-faith reporting — filing false reports to silence or harass someone — is itself a violation and is subject to enforcement.
8. Enforcement
Measures are applied proportionately, taking into account the severity, repetition, and intent of the violation:
| Tier | Measure |
|---|---|
| Minor / first violation | Warning, content removal |
| Repeated violation | Restriction of specific features (e.g., messaging, creating rooms) |
| Severe / ongoing violation | Temporary suspension |
| Most severe violation | Permanent account termination |
Immediate permanent termination applies to: sexualization or exploitation of minors, serious threats to user safety, and attacks on our systems. In these cases no prior warning is given, and the matter is referred to the competent authorities where appropriate.
Notice of decisions: when a measure is applied to you, we notify you by email and/or in-app notification, stating the reasons. The exception is where notice would obstruct an investigation, conflict with the law, or put others' safety at risk.
Automated systems: automated checks are used to detect some violations. Measures applied automatically are subject to human review on appeal.
9. Appeals
If you believe a decision was wrong, appeal by writing to [email protected] with your reasons within 30 days of being notified.
- Your appeal is reviewed by a human, independent of any automated system that applied the measure.
- We inform you of the outcome, with reasons, within a reasonable time.
- If your appeal succeeds, the measure is lifted and your removed content is restored where possible.
This internal appeal route does not remove your statutory remedies (see Terms of Service §12).
